Iligan City: L’ Espresso Cafe

Finally, I decided to make a food/restaurant review in places that I have been to here in Iligan City. Since there’s just a few of them and I’ve been to most of those places as well. So, the first place in my list? The L’ Espresso Cafe (location provided by the link).
The place has open and indoor dining, my friends and I chose the open dining. I swear that you’ll love the ambiance of the place! Quite since its away from the city and few yards away from a highway street, so no buzzes of cars and no crowd of people passing by. Fresh and cold air brought by the tress and their mini-garden - perfect for a date!

You must know that everywhere I dine, I always ask for coffee. It’s like a quest for the best coffee in town. Gladly they serve coffee and in fact it’s good! I have a hint that one of my friends will also ask for coffee- nakakahawa ang sarap ng kape kasi. I have my favorite Cappuccino and she chose Cafe Mocha.

The menu offers limited dishes - few appetizers, rice meals, some pasta and sandwiches. I’m telling you the prices are high but I sensed that the food will be worth it.

We feel that the preparation would take long, so we pre ordered pasta. It’s like our taste buds saying no for Spaghetti, so we opt for Carbonara.

We picked their best dish Cordon Bleu (Chicken Rolls). That was my first Cordon Bleu and I would love to have more of it! Tasteful inside and crispy outside, it’s the best I had for the night.

The Beef Laroca was the best I had so far, the last one was so bad - you have to chew it longer than usual eventually the taste will run-off. This one was crispy and it breaks easily that your buds will ask for more.

Tenderloin Steak - hmm, I’m running out of adjectives here! But to say, it’s really good. Nothing wrong with it but maybe when I’ll have it next time I’ll ask for no peas - I HATE PEAS

The sad thing that night was the Fried Calamari. The coating was a bit off and the squid was like chewy? Idk, its not that bad but maybe you should pick other thing from the menu.
One last thing I really have to say - the service was bad. They don’t entertain you that much, you have to stand up and look for them so you can ask for water. You’d be amazed that there are only few people dining so they’re not busy, so how come they don’t watch out for the one’s dining?
Bottomline, I’ll still recommend it. Why not? The place is good and the food is perfect! (I actually love it and it’s my favorite pick).
